In Hades I' lore, this could be a shade of an unidentified deceased warrior who'd have most of Zagreus' abilities while being completely ignored by all the characters in the game. If you don't see it, maybe you need to beat the first boss first in that game, anyway the gist of it is that you receive an item which creates a golem player. Several ways to go about it but one I've seen very recently is in Sword of the Necromancer. Fit co-op in a story-driven single-player game: I have decades of experience playing cooperative games, being 39 atm and started as early as 5, so I've been around the block for a while and I've seen things. However, all your arguments can easily be knocked down. The first in this topic, which is telling. This post right here has by far the most logical argumentation against cooperative mode while showing respect to OP's view. So, in the end, I think there are way more risks than benefits adding a co-op mode here. (I mean, I've seen dozen of good games getting bad reviews ONLY because the co-op isn't perfect) Unless they made a special "arcade mode" where you would jump straight to the action ONLY, with no story involved.īut then co-op nowadays could be very tricky to implement depending on whether it would be only a standard two player mode (two controllers on the same console/PC) or if they would have to bother with online co-op and so on.Īnother risky thing about adding co-op, especially on-line, is that if it doesn't work perfectly, people would give the game a Negative rating just for that. I fail to see how they could fit a co-op mode. Originally posted by Neo NiGHTS ®:Hades is a heavily story-driven game.
